Cash is fuel in Steal an Egg for Squishy Dumplings. Speed is the gear that spends it. You steal eggs, hatch Dumplings, earn money, upgrade the treadmill and base, then train Speed so the next rarity and the next zone become possible. Players who only steal hit a wall when Update 5 spaces and faster parents show up.
No public guide has published a numeric Speed requirement for each area. Treat any specific Speed total from a different Roblox egg game as unrelated. Use the signs below instead of a copied gate chart.
What the treadmill changes
- Approaches get shorter, so you spend less time in the open before the prompt.
- Escapes clear chase ranges that caught starter movement.
- Newer zones stop feeling like a soft lock.
- In a six-player server, the faster thief reaches the egg first.
Speed does not fix a bad angle. It makes a good habit succeed more often.
Early session
- Land a few safe steals from Getting Started so the plot has income.
- Buy the cheapest treadmill ranks that you can feel while sprinting.
- Alternate one steal attempt with a short treadmill block. Do not chain twenty failed rare chases.
- Stay on practice and mid-pressure targets from the priority bands while Speed is low.
Early traps: saving every coin for a dream egg while you still move at tutorial pace, or walking the belt with an empty plot that cannot fund the next rank.
After the first keepers
Mid game starts when common escapes work and you hold a couple of Squishies worth keeping. Speed ranks now compete with plot income:
| Situation | Buy first | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Dying on escapes | Treadmill Speed | Angles cannot outrun a hard gate |
| Escapes are easy but ranks feel expensive | Plot income or capacity | Funds the next Speed block |
| Ready to sample a new zone | Speed margin, then a scout lap | Enter Update 5 areas with room to spare |
| Slots full of weak keeps | Re-check hatches, then sell junk | Weak keeps starve both tracks |
Sell duplicate low-value hatches to fund ranks. Keep the first strong income copy of a lineage you can already steal.
Later zones and high-pressure nests
New Zones content rewards spare Speed, not the minimum that sometimes works. Before you camp a hard nest:
- Cross the area once without forcing a steal. Fix camera trouble on Controls if the device is the problem.
- Keep a cash buffer for an emergency treadmill buy after a failed streak.
- Train in focused blocks of several minutes, not a few steps between random steals.
If the nest still feels impossible after honest training, it is a gate. Farm income you can finish, buy ranks, and return.
When to train and when to steal
Train when you lost two or more clean races in a row, a new zone feels sluggish, you just sold enough to buy several ranks, or the lobby fight makes field time low value.
Steal when escapes on your current band feel comfortable, you need specific hatches for empty slots, you are practicing angles on purpose, or a strong egg is free because everyone else just wiped.
Pure stealing creates a Speed debt. Pure treadmill time with an empty plot creates an upgrade debt.
Session shape
- Test a known mid-pressure nest.
- If it feels tight, train on cash you already banked.
- Run a focused set at one pressure band.
- Hatch and sell using the money rules.
- Buy either the next Speed rank or the income node that pays for it.
- Stop on a completed purchase. Do not tilt into a death streak.
Auto-train menus exist in third-party injectors. They also attract bans and broken behavior after a patch. Manual belt time is the route this guide teaches. Pair spends with Base and Treadmill Upgrades.
